Gary was born in Brooklyn, New York. He attended Midwood High School’s Medicaid Science Institute.
Then, he went to S.U.N.Y. Binghamton (now Binghamton University) where he earned his B.S. in Computer Science/Mathematics. He then earned his Juris Doctor at Brooklyn Law School. Gary was admitted to the New Jersey Bar 12/91 and New York Bar 1/92.He is still admitted to both of those Bars, and is also a Certified Elder Law Attorney.
Realizing that the law alone didn’t fully help retirees, and seeing mishaps caused by well intentioned financial advisors who did not offer holistic planning, Gary then earned his licensure including Life and Health Insurance, Brokerage, and eventually became a Certified Financial PlannerTM in 2016. Other credentials include Retirement Income Certified Professional®, Accredited Estate Planner®, and several other designations.
Since that time, Gary has sought to improve the quality of advice given to retirees, including maximizing retirement income, properly allocating investments with a goal to achieve the client’s desired results taking the least amount of risk necessary, tax reduction strategies, and legacy planning, first to the surviving spouse who may not have handled the financial affairs, and then to any beneficiaries.
Gary is a past president of the Society of Financial Service Professionals, Monmouth Chapter, and a past president of the Estate and Financial Planning Council of Central New Jersey.
