Frank Laise

Chapter President

Frank has been advising mature Americans on their retirement and estate planning concerns successfully since 1988.  Not just a product specialist, Frank is an educator of the retirement process who takes the time and care needed to educate his clients and provide solutions to their biggest retirement hurdles.  His continuing quest is to give his clients the ability to retire with the financial confidence they deserve.

With the conviction that "modest returns that never experience loss" and financial products that guarantee lifetime income can outperform the market over time, Frank is determined to share this message with as many people as possible.  The ultimate goal is to help his clients put a plan in place that will guarantee they never outlive their financial resources.

Prior to joining the  J.D. Mellberg Financial team in 2015, Frank served clients in a variety of capacities as a captive life insurance agent with The College Life Insurance Company of America, Fidelity Mutual Life, and New York Life.  He was named College Life's "Honor New Agent" in 1976 (top new agent in the United States) and was honored by the Tacoma General Office of New York Life as the "New Agent Of The Year" in 1990. He has also been a frequent qualifier for MDRT.

Frank also spent three years as the Employee Benefits Manager with Pacific First Federal Savings Bank between 1984 through 1987.  While there, he was responsible for managing the defined benefit pension, 401(K) and Section 125 Flexible Benefit Plans. Frank was recruited by First Interstate Bank to join their newly created Business and Estate Services Department in 1993.  Later, recognizing that Americans financial security during retirement was being eroded by the disappearance of pension plans, Frank started his own firm, Capital Wealth Advisory, in 2008 to help his clients develop plans that would deliver lifetime retirement income.

Frank received his BS in Business Administration from San Jose State University in 1975 after completing his first two years at The University of Southern California.  His CLU designation (Chartered Life Underwriter) from the American College followed in 1980.

Frank served as the President of the Tacoma Estate Planning Council in 2010-2011.  He also was selected by his peers to lead the South Puget Sound Chapter of the Society of Financial Service Professionals from 2011-2012.

Frank and his wife Wendy celebrated their 37th anniversary on July 10th.  They have two children; Jessica (34) who is a Registered Nurse at Seattle Children's Hospital and Christopher (30) an Occupational Therapist Assistant  who served in the United States Air Force in the 16th Special Operations Squadron based at Cannon Air Force Base in Clovis, New Mexico. Chris recently married our wonderful new daughter-in-law, Emily, who assists Frank in his practice.
