Belen Krabbe is a wife, mother, grandmother, founder and President of Franklin Financial Services. Belen started her career as a divorced mother of 3 young boys in 1984 as a secretary for Equitable Life of Iowa and transitioned to a life agent and soon thereafter acquiring securities licenses that laid the foundation to what she learned would become a holistic practice. She attributes her faith to overcoming life’s many difficulties that allow her to encourage others in need.
Franklin Financial Services provides a multi-faceted approach to financial and insurance strategies. Belen's desire is to improve the lives of the families she works with through sound, holistic, planning offered at Franklin Financial Services. During her tenure, she has experienced the roller coaster of stock market prosperity and drastic market declines like those in 2000-2003 and 2008—which was the largest stock market drop since the Great Depression. These experiences emphasized how holistic planning made good sense and could impact and help protect people’s financial lives.
Belen has seen and experienced countless changes in the financial and tax arenas as well as countless programs and teaching philosophies that led to a lack of coordination, especially between insurance and securities products and solutions. She works with a diverse group of clients who come from different backgrounds and life stages, and in all cases, The Bucket Plan allows her to utilize a holistic approach to orchestrate strategic solutions to their financial questions. Whether it’s a high-income young professional seeking accumulations and tax efficient investment solutions, a blue-collar worker or baby boomer preparing for their Golden years, or seniors wanting peace of mind through coordinating their retirement funds and Social Security planning, or seniors wanting peace of mind through legacy planning, The Bucket Plan provides them with personalized answers for multi-generational planning.
Belen enjoys spending quality time with her husband, Paul, 5 children, 10 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. She enjoys traveling the United States and around the world including mission trips with Youth for Christ, and other missions to Peru, Columbia, Mexico, Africa, and Guatemala in December 2026. She also enjoys cooking for friends and family, playing board games, Bible Study and attending grandchildren's sports and musical events... there are many!
Following a series of health issues, Belen has made a commitment to acquire a future partner so Franklin Financial Services could continue with or without her. She looks forward to sharing her 40+ years of experience in training new representatives as well as the public through workshops and live events.
Belen has acquired her CF2 (Certified Financial Fiduciary) and BPC (Bucket Plan Certified) designations as well as earning CLU, ChFC, CAP, CASL, RHU, REBC through the American College of Financial Services, and a LUTCF from the National Association of Life Underwriters, and serves as an Investment Advisor Representative. *Financial planning and investment advisory services offered through Prosperity Capital Advisors (PCA).
