Born in Newport Beach California Joe attended Orem High School later Snow College where he was named All-American playing Quarterback on the football team. Joe served an LDS mission in Los Angeles California and finished his formal education at BYU where he was the back up to Heisman trophy winner Ty Detmer. Joe graduated with a degree in finance from BYU. While at BYU, Joe met and married Shauna Schmidt whose dad Ken was the defensive coordinator under Lavell Edwards. Shauna and Joe have 5 children and 4 grandchildren. Joe has been a registered investment advisor for over 30 years has managed and trained other advisors and agencies over that time frame. Joe is a published author (Encompassing Charity) has hosted a radio show called common sense and coached over 50 different sports teams from youth through high school. He loves time with his family, American history and gardening. Joe’s yard has been featured on podcasts, websites and magazines.
