Doug has a driving passion to help people achieve their financial dreams and secure their financial futures. Chief among those passions is a desire to help individuals and families avoid financial mistakes including claiming strategies for Social Security with emphasis on strategies to minimize taxes now and during retirement years.
Doug has more than 40 years of experience in the insurance industry specializing in financial services and retirement planning. Currently Doug serves as the President of CornerStone Financial Strategies and Compensation & Benefit Consultants, Inc.
He is a native Nashvillian, having graduated from East Nashville Senior High School and Belmont University. After his time at Belmont University, he continued his education in the insurance field by obtaining the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation and he has completed the requirements to become a Registered Financial Consultant (RFC).
Doug is married, has 2 children and 1 grandchild. He and his wife Lois met in church and were involved in youth ministry together for nearly 20 years.
