With over 35 years of experience Bill has extensive background in the Financial Services Industry. Bill has been a licensed Insurance Agent for 35 years. After attending SDSU’s Business School with a degree in Management and Finance he worked in the Real Estate Industry as a Title Officer for Ticor Title and was instrumental in the modernization of their Research Department.
As an analyst and trader on the Bond Desk of M.L. Stern & Co. the largest independent municipal bond firm on the West Coast Bill gained valuable experience in the bond trade. Bill went on to work at E.F. Hutton as a Vice President, then at Shearson Lehman Brothers, and Prudential Securities he developed diversified portfolios customized to meet a variety of client needs.
Bill has always been interested in cooking and worked in several San Diego restaurants while attending college. After leaving the securities field he went on to fulfill a lifetime dream of culinary excellence. Studying at the Culinary Institute of America where he participated in individual and team competitions in fine dining and service.
Bill’s hobbies include entertaining friends and preparing meals with proper wine parings, golf, travel, and music. He considers his two children as his greatest success stories. His daughter Blake owns a successful liquor catering business with clients including the San Diego Padres, the Irvine Company, and Bosa Development to name a few. His son Brett is the Head Golf Professional at the Bentwood Country Club in San Angelo, Texas and is also an avid outdoorsman.
