Benjamin D Heizer, Founder of THRIVE Wealth Group, understands that effective financial planning starts with strong relationships. After completing his undergraduate studies in 2004 at the Northern Illinois University, Ben began working in the financial services industry. While he was grateful for the opportunity to gain experience in the field, he was disheartened by the “one-size-fits-all” approach that he found to be the dominant attitude at most companies.

Inspired by his experience as a two-time all-American and Hall of Fame wrestler at NIU, Ben truly believes that in every phase of life you need the right leader (coach), and custom tailored plan to accomplish your goals.  Ben’s vision was to connect this lifelong people-first philosophy with effective financial planning. That is when THRIVE Wealth Group became a reality and he set out to start a company that would provide independent retirement plans through strategies that were rooted in principles of cooperation, service, and faith.

A musical worship leader at his church and lifelong car enthusiast, Ben lives in the Northern Suburbs of Illinois with his four beautiful daughters. Whether in the office or at home, he credits his Christian faith with granting him the strength to challenge the status quo and continue to do what is right, not what is popular. He knows the importance of being growth minded and that life is a mountain with no top, and the higher we climb the better the view.  “My proudest professional achievement,” he says, “is building a world class team that wants to THRIVE in both life and business, truly creating a unique experience with the motivation to ensure our client community THRIVE in life and in retirement”.
