Anthony “Tony” Engrassia ChFC®, LUTCF®, CFF®, NSSA®
Tony Engrassia founded Wealth Management Strategies, Inc. to provide independent, fee-based financial planning and wealth management to his clients. Tony and his family moved to the Rocky Mount, NC area in 1991, and his deep roots in the community and strong commitment to his clients help him offer tax-efficient strategies for preserving and growing family wealth that has a very personal, customized touch. Tony is also the creator of the Strategic Freedom Process™, a process that helps his clients develop strategies, so they can enjoy greater personal and financial opportunities during their retirement.
One of Tony’s primary goals as financial planner is to help his clients manage risks. Many of his clients are at or near retirement, and Tony uses a holistic approach to help them understand the three major risks they’ll face in retirement—market risk, interest rate risk and sequence of return risk—and together they can map out a retirement plan designed to help clients meet their goals and objectives, so they’ll have income distribution for life.
With a growing clientele, Tony has recently expanded Wealth Management Strategies, Inc. to include the Morehead City, NC area, and his commitment remains the same—he works tirelessly with clients to ensure they will never run out of money in retirement. Tony has also gained his clients’ trust and respect through his thought leadership as a co-author of the book Promises Kept. In addition, his financial advice can be read in the Rocky Mount Telegram, and he is a frequent expert resource for financial and retirement topics in various national and regional publications.
Giving back is a core principal that Tony lives by. He gives back to his community by offering workshops and seminars on income distribution planning, Medicare planning, retirement planning and estate planning as well as through his affiliation with The American Financial Educational Alliance (AFEA), a non-profit financial wellness program, where Tony provides workshops to educate and empower Americans in their financial lives. Tony also gives back to his industry. As a member of the Million Dollar Roundtable (MDRT), Tony has devoted extensive time to various committees, including serving as Divisional Vice President of the Program Development Committee. And, as a longtime member of The Rotary Foundation, Tony has twice been recognized as a Paul Harris Fellow. In doing so, he joins other Paul Harris Fellows, including President Jimmy Carter, U.S. astronaut James Lovell and polio vaccine developer Jonas Salk.
Tony attended the University of South Florida where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and a minor in Business Administration. In furthering his professional career, Tony holds a Series 65 securities license and Life and Health Insurance licenses and has earned a Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®) designation, is a Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow® (LUTCF®), and a Certified Financial Fiduciary® (CFF®). Most recently, he became a National Social Security Advisor (NSSA®) which enables Tony to help individuals and couples improve their financial security during retirement years through maximization of Social Security benefits. To provide better service to his clients, Tony has also been a member of Strategic Coach for over 16 years, the premiere business coach for entrepreneurs.
Tony is a devoted husband and father and loves spending his free time with his wife, Marie, and their three children, Anthony, DJ and Jessica. An avid outdoorsman, Tony enjoys golfing, hunting, fishing, and has trained his two hunting dogs to be master hunters. Tony is also a practicing Catholic and is a 4th degree knight with the Knights of Columbus.
